Who We Are

Jeremiah Sawyer and Lisa Shuck are parents and active community members. They have been serving on the North Royalton School Board since 2022.

Jeremiah was born and raised in Strongsville, Ohio. He attended Saint Edward High School where he was a member of the National Championship Wrestling Team. After graduating, he went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master's Degree in Business Management from
Walsh University.
Jeremiah Sawyer has been married for 29 years to his wife, Michelle.
Together, they have raised four children who all attended the North Royalton schools.
They are active members of St. Albert the Great Church.

Jeremiah has 20 years of experience coaching baseball, football, wrestling, and soccer in North Royalton.
Professionally, he has more than 30 years of experience owning small businesses and leading companies in various industries. He has served on the board and as Treasurer for Broadview Heights Family Medicine for 25 years.

Why is Jeremiah running?
His goal is to build on the past four years as School Board representative and
help our children become responsible young adults. They will do this through
community culture (Strategic Plan & Quality Profile), academic excellence (Ohio Report Card Rated excellent 4.5 of 5), prudent finances (lowest cost per student in Cuyahoga County), and improved safety (increased school officers & upgraded security). He will implement this through his 30 years of working in successful
organizations, being a committed husband and father, being involved with Saint Albert’s church & charity work, and being an active part of our community.

North Royalton has been Lisa's home for more than 30 years. She is a mother, wife, nurse, and volunteer.  She is also proud to be the mother of three recent North Royalton graduates.

Lisa was elected to the North Royalton Board of Education and began serving in January of 2022. She most recently served as Vice President. During her time on the board, Lisa and Jeremiah have driven policy, fiscal accountability, staffing optimization, community engagement, and established a strategic plan, goals and improved culture.

Lisa has developed positive relationships with businesses, leaders and residents in the community by working together. They partnered with the city on the senior center, replaced the tennis courts, safety town, increased school resource officers, and purchased the previously leased bus garage. North Royalton Schools has received a 4.5 star rating on the state report card and has increased the number of AP and Honors offerings while improving the district's College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness to 75% in 2025.

Lisa's priorities are determined by what is best for all children, their families and the community of North Royalton.

While many significant accomplishments have been realized since she was elected to the board, there is much more work to ensure that North Royalton Schools remain great for all students and the Board’s mission stays aligned with the goals and values of our community.

Lisa respectfully asks for your support in November.
